We have been bringing Luke to your daycare for the last three years. Every time we drop him off, the people behind the counter are wonderful. They welcome him with open arms and know him on sight. Even when he jumps and barks with excitement, they are just as happy to see him. We have rarely had any issues booking last-minute weekend reservations, and the only issue we've had is sometimes you're booked up! (I always think that's not a bad problem! Means you're busy and you'll stay in business!)
It's been a pretty stressful time and my mother was coming for a quick trip, and she is extremely fearful of dogs (crazy.. I know) so we made one of those last-minute weekend reservations. It was the person checking us in who informed us that it was Luke's birthday. We felt like the worst dog parents. We couldn't believe we let the date slip, and we spent some of the weekend berating ourselves that we needed to do better. When we picked him up, you have gifted him birthday treats, and a birthday cake squeak toy. I am not ashamed to admit that I cried a little with gratitude when Spencer brought him home. Luke usually destroys his toys roughly 2.5 seconds after we come home with them. But not this one. He is obsessed. He sleeps with it, carries it around the house, and will even cry when we won't let him take it outside in the rain with him.
All this to say, thank you. I am so incredibly touched that you would think to celebrate his birthday and make him feel special in a time when we've been so focused on life's stress. I have and will continue to scream on all the highest mountains about how great your place is. But this was over and beyond. Thank you for being such wonderful people. I am very grateful.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth & Spencer & Luke

"I just wanted to say how much I truly appreciate your team’s care and attention to detail regarding my pup, Ruthie. Specifically, Kiera has gone above and beyond to care for my anxious pup this week!! Kiera has worked with Ruthie to figure out how to make her time at Barks happy and comfortable!! I’m so thankful for her attention to Ruthie’s anxiety, her boredom, and her physical wellbeing! Ruthie has been so well cared for this week. Thank you, Barks; thank you, Kiera!!"

"LOVE barks on bourbon. I have been taking my dog here to get groomed the last five years. Juno’s a very shy and nervous dog and they are always so sweet and patient with her. I’m always happy with the trim they give her as well! And I love that it’s usually a quick turn around of a couple hours so I can pick her up quickly! Thank you barks on bourbon team, we love you!"
